Custom Industrial Processing (CIP) Gains ISO 9001:2000 Certification

January 13, 2006 – Custom Industrial Processing Inc. (CIP), a company that supplies mechanical plating, galvanizing and secondary machining for metal components, has received its ISO 9001 Certification.

ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally accepted set of quality management system requirements that can be applied to any service or manufacturing organization, providing proven, successful approaches to achieving customer, society, and management quality goals. Wexford, Pa.-based SRI was the Quality System Registrar.

CIP serves the automotive, appliance, business machine, computer, agricultural, government hardware, lawn & garden and recreational equipment markets.

The plating and galvanizing process performed by CIP eliminates hydrogen embrittlement and heavy-duty corrosion resistance according to AASHTO M298-87, ASTM B695-00, PS-1536, ESF-M1P67-A, GM4344M & GM4345M and MIL-C-81562B specifications. The company also performs secondary machining on powder metal materials and on all types of steel and heat-treated metals. CIP is located 125 miles northeast of Pittsburgh in St. Mary’s, Pa., in its 11,800-sq.-ft. headquarters and processing facility.
